Very Short Central Incisors with Dark Shadows at the Gum

Diagnosis

Patient #10 had a missing first mandibular molar. She did not want implant replacement. The tooth in front and behind needed a crown.

Treatment

We agreed to do a gold bridge from the second molar to the second premolar replacing the missing first molar.

Future Treatment

Many patients do not show their posterior teeth. All gold restorations are the longest lasting restorations we can use. Full gold crowns and 3/4 crowns have a life expectancy of 16 to 17 years. I have 11 gold restorations in my mouth that are over 28 years old.
